‘We will enhance capacity building of officers’

Says officers to take legal action against vehicles involved in traffic violations and impose heavy fine

LAHORE: The motorway police will work towards enhancing capacity building of officers and also adopt zero-tolerance policy against traffic violations.

This was stated by Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan during his visit to NHMP Complex, Babu Sabu on Friday.

Khan directed officers to take legal action against vehicles involved in traffic violations and impose heavy fine. He asked officers to perform their duty without fear and ensure the implementation of law. He instructed officers to ensure firm enforcement of law on motorways and national highways.

He ordered to ensure equal application of law irrespective of one's status. Khan said that patrolling standards on highways and motorways would be improved as per international standards. The well-mannered conduct with commuters and indiscriminate enforcement of law must be ensured to enhance the image of NH&MP.
