On Thursday, LDA Director General Amna Imran Khan issued directives for setting up dedicated counters during an inspection. In addition to this, she also ordered that the applications submitted by the people be dealt with swiftly, and their feedback be gained in order to improve service delivery.
During her visit, Khan met a number of applicants and heard their complaints, while also issuing directives to immediately address their grievances. She also told the applicants to pen down their complaints and add them to the drop box. She assured the people that she would personally take notice of their grievances.

She also said that she will personally monitor the performance of the authority’s One Window Cell in order to ensure that No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have been issued for the sale of properties, for the approval of building plans and other property related issues.
She instructed officials to strictly adhere to the deadline given on applications and to refrain from disposing of these applications by raising unnecessary objections and submitting irrelevant answers to avoid inconveniencing the applicants. Let applicants know about the deficiencies in their case instead of asking them to come again and again, she instructed.
She also ordered officials to carry out necessary maintenance at the One Window Cell; this included arranging more seats and the provision of drinking water for applicants.
Meanwhile, LDA DG called on the Caretaker Minister for Housing and Urban Development Saeedullah Baber and briefed him about the organisation.
The minister observed that improving infrastructure along with facilitating the public should be LDA’s main objective. He asked LDA DG to take concrete steps in order to improve the authority’s administrative affairs.
Khan assured the minister that all possible resources will be utilised in order to further develop the provincial capital.
