Maya Ali replaces Mahira Khan in 'Paray Hut Love'

'Mann Mayal' star will be seen opposite Sheheryar Munawar as the lead

KARACHI: Asim Raza has proven his directing skills quite fast, not only by helming TVCs but also with his super hit debut film Ho Mann Jahaan. The 2016 blockbuster starred Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar and Adeel Hussain in leading roles.

After a two year hiatus, Asim is all set for his second directorial project titled Paray Hut Love. Initially, the 51-year-old film-maker had roped in Mahira to play the lead opposite Sheheryar. However, it has now been confirmed that Maya Ali of Mann Mayal fame will be replacing the Bol actor in Paray Hut Love.

Revealing details of his upcoming film, Asim told The Express Tribune, “Maya and Sheheryar are romantically involved in Paray Hut Love which will potentially release on Eidul Azha, 2019.”

Paray Hut Love is a romantic comedy, written by world-acclaimed writer Imran Aslam. Giving us some more scoop, Asim added, "The subtle yet meaningful comedy is surely going to bring a difference to the otherwise gripping, emotional, romantic drama.”

While Maya and Sheheryar play the lead, Mahira will be making a very important special appearance in the film. “People would get to see a different side of her as a performer,” exclaimed Asim.

When questioned on why Mahira was replaced in Paray Hut Love, Asim replied, "Mahira was facing major date issues but there's no doubt that she has a very special place in my heart. No one can ever replace her."
