Five assailants axe man to death over enmity

RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least two people were killed in different incidents in Rahim Yar Khan.

A police official told Express News that 55-year-old Rasool Bakhsh, a resident of Chak No 104, was sleeping on his cattle farm when five assailants barged in and axed him to death.

He added that the victim had an enmity with the suspect Hasnain and others over a petty issue. The police claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in the incident, while a hunt for the others is under way.

The body was handed over to the deceased’s family after completing legal formalities.

In yet another incident, a man was gunned down in Tabbi Saeedan area. The police said that Naseer Ahmed was sitting with his friends on a tube-well when suspect Jalal and others opened fire on him. As a result, Naseer was killed on the spot.

The police said the murder seemed to be the result of an old enmity. A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s brother Abdul Majeed.

Meanwhile, three people were injured over a dispute related to the destroying of crops in Chak No 265-P.

The police said that Bahadur Khan was present outside his house when accused Arshad, Amanullah, Anwar, Waseem, Asad and others reached the spot and assaulted him.

After hearing a hue and cry, Bahadur’s brother Dogar, wife Sugharan and niece Rashidan came to his aid, but the accused also opened fire on them and fled the scene.

As a result, Bahadur, Sughran and Rasheedan suffered bullet injuries and were shifted to hospital in critical condition. The police have registered a case against the culprits and started an investigation.

Similarly, a man was injured over a dispute in Bele Shah. The police said that Muhammad Ayub and his son Saddam Hussain were present in their house when Sadiq opened fire on them in a bid to take revenge over an old enmity.  As a result, Saddam suffered bullet injuries and was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.

The police have registered an attempted murder case against the accused.
