RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least three people lost their lives in different incidents in Rahim Yar Khan on Wednesday.

In the first incident, a woman committed suicide over a domestic dispute in Railway Colony. The police said that Samina, mother of two, had an argument with her husband Dilshad and her in-laws over a domestic issue.

In sheer frustration, she ended her life by jumping in front of the Pak Business Express coming from Karachi. Rescue officials shifted the body to the hospital for legal formalities.

In yet another incident, the body of a young man was recovered from Manthar Lake. A police official said the deceased was identified as Atif Hussain, a resident of Manthar Town.

The police shifted the deceased’s body to the hospital for legal formalities. However, the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. Further investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, two trailers and a mini-truck collided on Shahrah-e-Pakistan in Zahir Pir, Khanpur claiming the life of one, while also injuring two others.

The deceased and wounded were shifted to the hospital by Rescue 1122 officials. The police said that the incident took place near Quetta Hotel which resulted in the death of 40-year old Asim Mehmood Daad, while 48-year old Ghulam Yaseen, a resident of Lodhran, and 20-year-old Faisal Mehmood, suffered injuries.  The injured were shifted to Khanpur Hospital for treatment.
