Couple found dead at home

LAHORE: The bodies of a couple were found lying in a pool of blood in their house in Sui Gas Housing Society in the limits of Nishter Colony police on Tuesday. The victims were identified as Salman and his wife Naveen. The brother of Naveen, Fahad Iqbal told police that he found his sister and brother-in-law dead when he went to his sister’s house. “They did not have personal enmity with anyone,” he said. Police reached the spot on getting information and shifted the bodies to a morgue for autopsy. They collected forensic evidence from crime and recorded statements of the witnesses. They also collected CCTV footages from nearby areas. According to police, circumstantial evidence suggested that the incident was the result of a personal enmity. However, further investigations would help ascertain the motive behind murders, they said. They added that they have taken two suspects into custody.
