Televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain is disappointed on not being allotted a ticket by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to contest the 2018 general elections from Karachi.

Liaquat, who joined Imran Khan's party earlier this year, tweeted on Sunday that he has been refused a ticket by PTI’s Karachi leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi.

The disgruntled leader said he considered PTI his home, and will take a decision about his political future on Monday.

He also warned the PTI workers against misbehaving with him, asking them to 'remain in their limit' on social media. “The issue is not just about the ticket, but Karachi city’s political awareness … I do not even desire the ticket. I only referred to it due to the [PTI] chairman’s pursuance,” he added.

A former MNA and state minister, Liaquat left the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in 2016.

Dr. Asad Sadick, Germany | 6 years ago | Reply The self-named doctor does not deserve a ticket anyways. If he is such a dedicated Karachiite, Pakistani and a PTI supporter he can still work for Karachi and in the interests of PTI and Karachiites.
Omar khan | 6 years ago | Reply The mechanism of ticket allotment is different this time, so better to follow the rules.
