RAHIM YAR KHAN: A boy was reportedly subjected to sexual assault in Rahim Yar Khan’s Rajan Pur Kalan area on Friday.

An official of Abad Pur police station told Express News that Muhammad Rafiq Kasra submitted a complaint at the police station in which he stated that Muhammad Ismail allegedly abused his 14-year-old son in the mango garden. He stated that when his son raised a hue and cry, people reached the spot and found him naked and in a semiconscious state.

He said the suspect escaped from the scene when he saw residents approach.

Meanwhile, police arrested two people after registering case number 80/140 against them. However, they were released a few hours later after the police reportedly accepted a bribe from them.

When contacted, Abad Pur police station SHO told Express News that arresting suspects or not is left at the discretion of the force. He also allegedly threatened the victim’s father of severe consequences and made him leave the police station.

The victim’s family accused the SHO of helping the suspects.

ASI Abdul Qayyum said accused Muhammad Ismail has obtained interim bail from the court and action will be taken according to the law.

While protesting against the incident, the victim’s father appealed to the DPO and SP Investigation to provide justice. Earlier on May 31, a girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by four men in Faisalabad’s Bachiana Village.

Police said that accused Omar Farooq, Dilshad Ali, Sabir Hussain and Muhammad Ramzan barged into the house of a labourer in Chak No 56 while they were asleep. The four reportedly abducted his 15-year-old daughter at gun point. The culprits took the girl to nearby fields and allegedly raped her. Later, the police conducted raids and nabbed the culprits.
