25 year-old brutally tortured by her husband

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A woman was tortured by her husband and in-laws over refusal to iron clothes in Ahmedpur Lamma area on Tuesday.

Police said that 25 year-old Shaheena Bibi was brutally tortured by her husband, Muhammad Asif, and in-laws when she refused to press the clothes. She was also fed with poisonous substance.



When the victim raised hue and cry, the area residents reached the spot and shifted her to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Sadiqabad for medical treatment.

Doctors at the health facility said that despite providing medical treatment, Shaheena’s condition was critical. They said all efforts were being made to save the woman’s life.

Meanwhile, the victim’s husband and in-laws have gone into hiding and the police are conducting raids to arrest them.
