Cable Tv: Promotion of ‘national culture’ sought

PEMRA chairman has urged the cable TV operators to take step to promote Pakistani culture.

SIALKOT: In an effort to discourage the negative influence of foreign cultures on Pakistani youth, Dr Abdul Jabbar, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman, has urged the cable TV operators to take step to promote Pakistani culture. He said by doing so the cable TV operators could display their loyalty towards the country, he said. Dr Jabbar was addressing a meeting of the cable TV network operators at the newly established PEMRA regional office in Sialkot.
