ISLAMABAD: Political stability is imperative for ensuring economic progress in the country, remarked Saarc Chamber Senior Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik on Friday. While speaking to a delegation of city traders, he said, “if proper steps are not taken to end political instability in Pakistan, a major chunk of business will be affected badly.” He stressed the need for introducing economic reforms to address various issues facing the country.

“Pakistan has all the resources to become an economic giant and only needs to set direction,” Malik added. He was of the view that Pakistan’s huge mineral resources could help get rid of the economic ills.
