Illegal Housing Schemes: RDA officials directed to take action

A review meeting was held between Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) and RDA.

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Rana Akbar Hayat directed RDA officials to take action against illegal housing schemes and requested all employees to work honestly and diligently to redress grievances of common people and provide them with relief. He further added that there should be awareness raised among the general public about Building and Zoning Regulations and illegal housing schemes. He instructed officials to upload details of illegal housing societies of Rawalpindi that come under RDA on the official website. He made this address during a review meeting between Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) and RDA. Moreover, the DG appreciated the efforts of MP&TE Director for taking strict action against illegal, unauthorised constructions and commercial activities without any fear and favour.
