Mou: IUB to get wireless internet

PTCL would provide its Evo wireless service to the students, faculty and employees of the IUB at discounted rate.

BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for development of Information and Communication Technology infrastructure at the university. A university spokesperson, Shahzad Ahmad, said on Wednesday that under the MoU, the PTCL would provide its Evo wireless broadband service to the students, faculty and employees of the IUB at discounted rate. He said it would be helpful in boosting research. A tower would also be installed at Baghdadul Jadeed campus of the university, he said.
