ISLAMABAD: Police are on the lookout for a man whose wife was found dead in a home in Sector G-8/1 on Thursday. Police said 27-year-old Hina’s body was found hanging from ceiling in a house in G-8/1 slum area and initially it was reported as a suicide.

After the police shifted the body to Pims and tried to contact the woman’s husband, they found out that her husband’s home was locked and he was missing along with their three children which raised  eyebrows. Her family members also later complained that her husband, Javed, might have strangled her

Police said the suspect had evicted the woman from his home due to some domestic dispute and she had come to the house of her husband’s sister, where she was found dead and body hanging from ceiling. That her husband did not respond to phone calls also strengthened suspicions that he might be involved in the killing.

The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination on Friday. Karachi company police said they were conducting raids to nab the suspect.

Meanwhile, at least four men were injured in a violent clash between two groups in Mandla village near Bhara Kahu on Friday. Police said past enmity and litigation was the reason behind the clash. The injured who were later taken to Polyclinic hospital were identified as Abdur Razzaq, Abdur Raqeeb, Masood, and Gulzaib. Police said all the victims bore injuries caused by knife attack. They said no firing was involved in the clash.
