ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and 1-Link (Guarantee) Limited signed an agreement to develop a facility to enable the users of SECP’s e-Sevices to pay fees using internet banking or ATMs. The banks will add the SECP as a biller and develop necessary interface with 1-link. Once the system is operational, the users will be able to pay the SECP’s fees online or through ATMs. “The SECP has instituted a host of reform measures, which have resulted in robust corporate growth in the country,” said SECP Commissioner Tahir Mahmood. The mechanism will facilitate the private sector in legal processes and is expected to reduce the time required to start a company. 1-Link CEO Najeeb Agrawalla added that the collaboration will provide conducive business environment in Pakistan. This facility will not only enable 1-link to deepen their product portfolio, but will also contribute to the enhancement of the digital financial landscape of the country.
