The steps he ordered included preparation of PC-1 for improvement of sewerage system, provision of clean drinking water, installation of solar street lights, upgradation of health facilities and revival of the shelved Rawalakot Hill Station Project.
“Rawalakot is my city and I will personally oversee the development process to make it one of best tourist attractions of Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” said Haider while chairing a meeting of the Pearl Development Authority (PDA) on Wednesday.

Emphasising that development should be made without compromising the natural beauty of the area, the AJK prime minister directed officials to make the town beautiful and environment friendly. He said the government would provide Rs4 million initially for the beautification work.
He said there would be plenty of jobs and business opportunities once the town was developed to attract domestic and international tourists.
Earlier, Haider was briefed about the under-construction water supply project. He was told that a water reservoir facility with storage capacity of 240 million gallon is close to completion while development work on construction of sewerage and water drainage system would soon be started.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary Development Syed Asif Hussain Shah, the secretary Housing and Planning, the secretary SEERA, the secretary Local Government and Rural Development and the chairman PDA.
