MUZAFFARABAD: An elderly man and his two granddaughters were killed as a mud house's roof collapsed in Nara Kot village, Kotli, Azad Kashmir on Wednesday.

The locals managed to rescue three other members of the same family, including two children and their mother, from the debris.

They were shifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries from the roof caving in. The authorities have begun to investigate the cause of the incident.

Nine killed as roof of warehouse collapses in Sukkur

On March 28, nine people including women and children were killed after a warehouse roof collapsed at a market in Sukkur.

The district administration said an explosion took place at a date-baking mill, leading to the warehouse roof collapse in Chohara Market.
