The invitation-only gala is a fundraising benefit for the museum and also marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition.
Rihanna
One of the co-hosts for the night, she came dressed in white like a pope, sporting a jewel-encrusted headdress (usually worn by bishops and senior abbots).
She matched with a heavily embellished pearl mini-dress and a priestly-style Maison Margiela cape. Her makeup was, of course, on point with a highlighted face (and body). Frosty pink lips, smoked out eyes and bronzed skin completed her look. Needless to say, she made it to the top of our list.
Jennifer Lopez
The On The Floor singer stunned in a blue and black beaded Balmain dress, with a slit down one leg and a feathered train. The dress had a large mosaic crucifix across her chest adorned with red, blue and gold gems.
The dress also included a cut-out back which added all the extra drama. Intense eyes, nude makeup and slicked-back hair with a side parting complemented the look perfectly.
Priyanka Chopra
The Bollywood beauty went for a Crusades-inspired ensemble giving off some real chain-mail vibes. Clad in a luxurious maroon velvet gown by Ralph Lauren, Priyanka definitely managed to turn some heads.
Has Priyanka Chopra secretly gotten married? The internet seems to think so
Her intricately ornamented Swarovski headgear, which was draped over her head and shoulders, was reminiscent of a medieval knight.
She sported her signature deep lips with gold –flecked eyelids. Her hair, on the other hand, did not do her any good. A different hairstyle might even have made this the winning look.
