Raid: Adulterated milk wasted

ABBOTTABAD: Food Safety Authority and Livestock Department officials in a joint operation conducted in the suburbs of Abbottabad seized large quantity of substandard milk from suppliers which was later spilled in nearby fields.

Raid was conducted on 5am in the morning by the Assistant Director Food Safety Adeel Nouman, Safety Officer Nouman Khan and Veterinary Doctor Abrar Hussain and during checking they found 50% mixing of water in the milk.

They emptied containers of milk in which water content was more than 15%.

In few cases, some pesticides were also fund in the cans.

Anjuman-e-Ittehad Sheryan Abbottabad President Malik Sajjad said that the food authority should regularly check the suppliers and local milk sellers.
