Diners were left in shock after a cooked fish leapt out a plate during their meal in China on Thursday, MailOnline reported.

Footage captured a flatfish seasoned with spring onions and soy sauce, suddenly leapt out of the plate.

It flicked its tail and wiggled its body before leaping out of the dish onto the table all of a sudden.

The fish's body had cuts at the bottom as it flipped over.

Diners stopped eating and some of them stayed away from the table as they were shocked by the 'zombie' fish.
