KHUSHAB: A man was shot dead over a dispute in Khushab’s Mittha Tiwana area on Wednesday. A police official told Express News that Zafarullah and Muhammad Ali had an argument some days ago over a certain matter in Bajaar Village. In a fit of rage, Ali slapped Zafarullah and both men went home after a heated exchange of words.

The policeman added that later on the day of the incident, Muhammad Ali was working with his brother Karim Bakhsh in the fields when accused Zafarullah and his accomplices reached the spot with guns and beat the two of them up.

The police official maintained that accused Zafarullah opened fire at Ali and killed him on the spot. The gunmen also opened fire on Karim Bakhsh but he escaped unhurt. Meanwhile, the police took the body into custody and shifted it to the hospital for legal formalities.

A case had been registered against the accused on complaint of Karim Bakhsh while further investigation was underway.
