The bench of Lahore High Court has issued a notice to the interior minister Ahsan Iqbal for appearing in person on a petition over his alleged anti judiciary speech at one incident.
Advocate Azhar Siddique the petitioner's counsel implored the court that the federal minister delivered anti judiciary speech which was aired by different channels. He contended Ahsan's speech is tantamount to a contempt of court after the court asked if there had been any such speeches in the recent past. The petitioner then also prayed the court to initiate contempt proceedings against Ahsan Iqbal.
