QUETTA: At least four women were electrocuted and six others received burn injuries when an 11 KV transmission line cable snapped on a tractor-trolley in the Bhag area of Bolan district on Monday.

According to the Levies force, the women were on returning home on a tractor-trolley after harvesting wheat crop in the Rabi Canal area of Naseerabad when an electricity cable fell on them.

“A power transmission line snapped and fell on the tractor-trolley due to strong winds blowing in the area,” said A senior Levies official.

He said that four women sitting in the trolley were electrocuted on the spot while six others received burn injuries.
