Education, health being given utmost importance: Rahila

Applauds CM Bizenjo for undertaking surprise visits of hospitals, under-construction roads

Balochistan Assembly Speaker Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani has said that the incumbent government of Abdul Quddus Bizenjo is giving utmost importance to education and health sectors.

“The welfare of the people of the province is on top of the priorities’ list of the current government,” said the speaker during a visit to the Girls Degree College, Quetta on Thursday.



The Balochistan chief minister was also present on the occasion.

Rahila said, “The participation of chief minister is praise-worthy as it will increase the courage of students.”
She praised the chief minister for making remarkable governance examples in his short-term government. “He has given much importance to an ordinary man which is commendable,” she added.

She specifically applauded the sudden and unexpected inspections of hospitals and under-construction roads undertaken by the chief minister.



She said that she had personally worked for improving the education and health sectors. “However, four-year BS programmes were initiated without prior preparation which is causing difficulties for students and teachers,” the speaker added.
She said, “The shortage of professional teachers can be addressed by training teachers.”
She said, “We, the women of Balochistan, are lucky as women of this province are given utmost respect.”

She said, “The rate of crime against women in the province is lesser than that of other provinces.”
She assured the students of provision of all facilities at the college. “The digital library of the college will be functional soon,” she added.
Later, the chief minister and the speaker inspected various parts of the college.
