Fourth tranche of funds released to AJK

Development fund for the first three-quarters of this fiscal year has been provided to various departments

MUZZAFARABAD: The federal government has released fourth tranche of development funds to Azad Jammu and Kashmir government.

According to a press release of Department of Planning and Development Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, the federal government released a sum of Rs6.6 billion for the fourth quarter (April to June) allocated for the state’s Annual Development Program (ADP) 2017-18.

It also mentioned that timely disbursement of development funds by federal government amply reflects the interest of Pakistan towards development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The development fund for the first three-quarters of this fiscal year has been provided to various departments. AJK government expressed its gratitude to the federal government for timely release of funds and expressed hope that all the ongoing development projects would be completed in time besides achieving other goals set for the current financial year.
