BA speaker urges media to reflect society’s positive image

Rahila says seeing my colleagues in the field makes me happy

QUETTA: Balochistan Assembly Speaker Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani has urged the media to play a significant role in reflecting a positive image of society.

“Journalists must act responsibly in publishing news,” said the speaker during her visit to the Quetta Press Club on Friday. Senior journalists, including Shazada Zulfiqar, Saleem Shahid and Public Relations Director General Shazada Farat were also present.



Rahila Durrani said, “Journalists must bring their capabilities into practice while making news as they are the vision and sound of society. They must act impartially while performing their duties.”

She said, “Journalists have played a commendable role in society.”

She said that she herself belonged to the same profession. “Seeing my colleagues in the field makes me happy.”
