LAHORE: In a province-wide crackdown on Wednesday, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed 27 food points. It also issued fine tickets of more than Rs478,000 to 197 food business operators (FBOs) for not complying with its instructions.

PFA Lahore sealed three food businesses including a factory, eatery and a water filtration company in Railway Colony Swami Nagar, Bhatti Gate and Begum Kot, respectively. The authority imposed heavy fines on 43 other outlets in Lahore.

The authority also dealt with violators after surprise raids on hundreds of food businesses in other districts of Punjab.
