First batch of traffic assistants graduates

LAHORE: A graduation ceremony for 250 wardens from the very first batch of traffic assistants was held on Saturday.

Capital City Police Officer Amin Wains was the chief guest on the occasion. The graduating students saluted Wains and the officers gathered and presented a parade to the beat of different national songs.

“After seeing the vigour and passion of the wardens, I am sure they will play a key role in improving the city’s traffic situation,” said Wains. He added that these graduates would not be hesitant in sacrificing their lives for aiding citizens and maintaining peace within society.

He also appreciated the efforts of Chief Traffic Police Officer (CTO) Rai Ijaz Ahmad, SP headquarters and the trainers who imparted modern training to the first batch of traffic assistants. He also announced a prize worth Rs100,000 for the trainers.

Ahmad informed the gathering that during training, the graduates were educated on traffic flow, traffic laws, departmental information, ethics and office management.
