LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan has said special attention should be given to the security of all worship places including mosques, imambargahs, churches and temples and other important buildings.

He was speaking during a video-link conference with DPOs and RPOs held at the Central Police Officer Lahore on Tuesday.

“District Police Officers (DPOs) should form a security plan for important places in light of audit reports of Central Police Office and also monitor the whole plan efficiently,” he said. He added that on the event of Shab-e-Miraj CCPO Lahore, all RPOs and DPOs should focus on security plan and ensure deployment of snipers over roofs of mosques and imambargahs.

He also ordered that Quick Response Force (QRF) patrolling should also be arranged in the vicinity of these places with the deployment of commandos.
