Around 15 people lost their lives while 728 people suffered serious injured and were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts and tehsils. However, some 416 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by emergency medical teams.
According to the data, 484 drivers, 22 underage drivers, 143 pedestrians and 532 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes. The statistics show that 236 road traffic accidents were reported in Lahore Control Room, which affected 233 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 90 in Faisalabad with 108 victims and Multan at third position with 67 road traffic accidents and 84 victims.
