KHAIRPUR/ NAUSHERO FEROZ: Three people, including a man, his wife and mother-in-law, were killed on Sunday allegedly over karokari in Jamal Mari village in Naushero Feroz district, within the limits of the Bhirya Road police station.

According to the police, three armed men assailed the house of Noor Ahmed Mari in Jamal Mari village and gunned down Noor, his wife Koonj Mari and mother-in-law Begum Mari. Two other family members were also wounded in the firing.

The bodies and injured were shifted to Bhirya hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.

After the killings, the police conducted raids at various places and succeeded in arresting one of the suspects, Ghulam Nabi Mari.

The police suspect that the three persons were killed for ‘honour’ and further investigations are under way.
