FAISALABAD: A Jaranwala judicial magistrate, Tahir Habib, on Thursday remanded Kashif Masih, accused of killing his sister and her paramour, to Sadar police for five days.

Masih was arrested on Wednesday on charges of killing his 12-year-old sister, Laila, and a Muslim boy, Muhammad Akhtar, she intended to marry.

Investigation Officer Asghar had requested the court to remand the man for two weeks but the magistrate only allowed a five day remand and directed the officer to present the accused in court on May 17.
