Implementing SDGs: Speakers urge govt to engage stakeholders

ISLAMABAD: National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) on Tuesday urged the government to engage key stakeholders in setting the framework on prioritisation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation.

This was stated by speakers at a Policy to Action forum for the implementation of Agenda 2030 for sustainable development was held here on Tuesday at a local hotel.

It was organised by NCHR, Pakistan, Development Alliance (PDA), AwazCD-Pakistan, Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and UK Aid.

While addressing the participants NCHR Chairman Justice Ali Nawaz Chowhan said that SDGs agenda is all-encompassing and that is all that mankind needs.

“It is overwhelming to know that at least people are talking about the issues like strong institutions, justice and rule of law,” Chohan said.
