He was addressing the concluding ceremony of a two-day course on ‘De-escalation for Violence' which was organised for all district emergency officers (DEOs) at the Emergency Services Academy on Tuesday.
The DG directed all DEOs of the province to assist law enforcement agencies during emergency management, besides educating citizens about rights and responsibilities of healthcare providers.
Dr Naseer said that the Rescue 1122 was responding to an average of 950 road traffic accidents in Punjab on a daily basis in which around 1,000 people, including males, females, pedestrians, passengers, drivers and underage drivers were provided emergency medical treatment. Expressing serious concerns, he said around 25 cases spinal injury patients are being reported on a daily basis.
