63% of allocated funds utilised till April: Report

Education sector managed to utilise just over 63 per cent of the funds it was allocated under the PSDP 2010-2011.

The education sector managed to utilise just over 63 per cent of the funds it was allocated under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2010-11.


Of the Rs21.82 billion allocated for 294 projects in the education sector, just Rs13.92 billion were utilised, of which Rs13.7 billion were utilised by March.

The finance division released Rs15.87 billion for different projects up to April.

The finance ministry provided these details to the National Assembly on a question forwarded by Nighat Parveen, member national assembly.

Moreover an unspecified number of projects worth Rs43 billion were initiated during 2010-11.

Rs988 million were allocated for “improving the human development indicators in Pakistan”. Exact details of these projects were not given in the National Assembly. Another Rs574.88 million was reserved for the Prime Minister’s Special Initiative for Hunarmand Pakistan Program.
