The workshop was held at the seminar hall at the Mango Research Institution. Agriculture Input Director Mashkoor Ahmed and economist Dr Muhammad Aslam gave lectures to those who participated.
Addressing cotton seed inspectors, Ahmed stated that the basic aim of conducting the workshop was to give guidance and impart knowledge on the benefits of the Seed Act and the Cotton Control Act. The training session will surely help seed inspectors in ensuring the seed police is implemented, he said. The workshop will enable inspectors to take strict action against violators, especially those at cotton factories and oil mills, he added.
Agriculture Director Rana Munir expressed that the performance of the cotton inspectors will be regularly monitored and factories and oil mills will be regulated under the Cotton Control Act. On this occasion, participants were tested twice. Once before the training session and once after the training session had ended.
