Alleged criminal recruited in Multan police

Muhammad Ijaz alias Jajji, son of Fateh Muhammad is said to be allegedly involved in different crimes

MULTAN: A suspected criminal has been recruited as a constable in Multan police, a report compiled by the department stated on Monday.

The report revealed that Muhammad Ijaz alias Jajji, son of Fateh Muhammad, was allegedly involved in different crimes, including robberies and murder cases. He was also accused of opening fire and causing serious injuries to a man in a robbery case. Ijaz lives in the area of Raja Ram police station, the report disclosed.

It stated that the accused was also wanted to the police in case number 14/332. The report highlighted that accused wanted in criminal cases should not be appointed in police department.

However, when The Express Tribune contacted officials concerned of the City Police Office Multan, the officers declined to comment on the matter.
