Fighting graft: NAB sticking to accountability for all

Chairman listens to public’s complaints with patience and directs NAB officers concerned to conduct verification

NAB is sticking to its policy of ‘Accountability for All’ as country’s progress and prosperity lies in eliminating the corruption, which is a cancer plaguing the country.

Listening to public complaints in ‘khuli keuchri’, NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday said NAB is disposing of the complaint verification, inquiries and investigation on merit and in accordance with the law.

The Chairman on Thursday listened to public’s complaints with patience and directed NAB officers concerned to conduct verification.

Topmost priority: NAB arrested 226 on corruption charges in last five months: chairman

Elimination of corruption is not only the responsibility of NAB, but each member of society should contribute in eliminating the menace.

People should avoid corruption and also play active role in checking the corruption in their surrounding also.

He said NAB has deposited a sum of Rs289 billion in national exchequer after recovering from the corrupt. A major chunk of the amount was distributed among the affectees who were looted by showing them rosy picture and dreams which proved wrong and corrupt looted money of innocent people.
