KARACHI: This is with reference to Nosheen Ali’s article “Politics in Gilgit-Baltistan” (May 25). I thank the writer for raising issues post-Attabad landslide, an event which has affected thousands of people across the beautiful valley of Hunza. She is absolutely right in pointing out that the frustration of the people of the region has only grown because of the very slow response of the government to the creation of the lake.
The writer’s excellent articulation of this matter illustrates well the weaknesses of the political system in Pakistan.
