Hajj draw winner can send relative instead

The candidates can obtain refunds from ministry officials or by accessing the designated website

ISLAMABAD: Successful applicants of the 2018 Hajj lottery wishing to send close relatives on Hajj in their place have been asked to submit applications for the purpose. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, successful candidates of the  government’s Hajj scheme, who are unable to travel for the same can process an application for allowing any close relative to perform Hajj instead of them.

Moreover, these candidates can obtain refunds from ministry officials or by accessing the designated website. After getting the refund, another application must be submitted, requesting permission to allow a close relative as their substitute to perform Hajj under the Government Hajj Scheme.  Successful applicants, who do not want to perform Hajj, should submit their reason of withdrawal and subsequently, the ministry will issue a letter of consent to the substitute Haji, who must submit their individual application along with a copy of passport.
