UAF highlights struggle of Pakistan Movement

Speakers call for hard work and dedication for progress of county

FAISALABAD: Like other parts of the country, the Pakistan Resolution Day was observed at New Senate Hall, University of Agriculture Faisalabad with traditional zeal and spirit.

Addressing on the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said the country was achieved after great sacrifices. “In the year 1940 at Minto Park Lahore, Muslims resolved to advance as a separate entity. Our elders visualised and articulated the true picture of freedom and liberty,” he said. The VC said the country was achieved after tremendous struggle and sacrifices under unprecedented freedom movement led by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal that resulted in emergence of an independent Muslim state. “It is now our duty to work with dedication for the progress of our homeland. The message of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam must be spread among the people in order to make prosperity in every field of life.”

He called for becoming good citizen and good workers. The education is prerequisite for the uplift of the country, he said, adding that we have to promote the education in every corner of the country. Different competitions including Qirar, naat, debate, essay, walk and others were arranged on the occasion.

Dean Agriculture Engineering Dr Allah Buksh, Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed, Dr Asim Aqil and other notables also spoke on the occasion.
