27 quack clinics shutdown in city

PHC seals 27 centers and shops of quacks in different parts of Lahore

LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has closed down clinics and shops of 27 more quacks in the city, and initiated further proceedings against them.

The teams of the PHC sealed 27 centers and shops of quacks in different parts of the city and its adjoining areas during the last three days. These comprised 19 general quacks, five fake dentists, two hakeems and one bonesetter. As many as 19 quacks were posing as general physicians at different clinic including Iqbal Clinic, Ali Clinic, Tauseef Clinic, Riaz Clinic, Al-Shifa Clinic, Ali Clinic, Arshad Clinic, Amjad Clinic, Waheed Clinic, Abbas Clinic, Al-Amjad Clinic, Illyas Clinic, Irshad Clinic, Bahoo Welfare Clinic and Hospital, Ali Tasawar Shah Clinic, Kashif Clinic, Fatima Medical Centre, Abu Huraira Clinic and Madina Clinic.

The teams also sealed five fake dentists, which were: Dental Care Clinic, Ameen Dental Clinic, Faryad Dental Clinic, Rashid Dental Care and Ali Dental Clinic. Two businesses of hakeems - Javed Rehamt Dawakhana and another, while Al-Shifa Hadi-Jore were also closed down.
