Ghilzai also ordered owners of passenger coaches and car service to submit their route permits during a road safety session held the other day.
Three killed in road accident in Balochistan
Additional Commissioner Major (retd) Aurangzaib Badini, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Inayatullah Bugti, ADC Khuzdar Abdul Quddus Achakzai and other officials were in attendance.
The session unanimously approved safety measures and immediate implementation of them in order to avoid fatal road accidents on the Quetta-Karachi Highway.
“All transporters have to submit their route permits following which new stickers will be issued for their vehicles,” revealed a statement.

Speeding, use of cell phones, overloading and search lights have been completely banned while travelling on Quetta-Karachi Highway.
The statement stated, “Transporters are ordered not to allow passengers to sit on the rooftops of passenger coaches and Hiace vans.”
The Quetta-Karachi Highway is notorious for fatal road accidents. A research revealed that five times more people had died due to road accidents than in suicide attacks in Balochistan during the last one decade.
“Transporters found violating the new orders will be dealt strictly apart from suspension of their licence,” the statement read.
