KARACHI: The rupee gained on Tuesday against the greenback to close at 84.85 to the dollar, from Monday’s close of 85.18.
The local currency strengthened as the dollar took a further decline in the global market.
The rupee has performed strongly in recent months due to a healthy inflow of remittances and record exports. It also hit an 11-month high last month.
