He expressed these views while addressing a high-level session to review preparation for the upcoming forthcoming National Police Expo Summit at IG house
The IGP said all services projects for public facilities like Front Desk 8787 complaint management system, Welfare Eye, Local Eye, criminal record management system, police service centres and paperless working system should be displayed with complete information for the participants in the exhibition.
“Modern policing is impossible without the use of modern technology and sharing of IT reforms with other provinces by Punjab Police should also be ensured that people are benefitted by these projects,” he said.
The IG Punjab has directed all the officers that Punjab police should also set up stalls of specialised forces, Elite, Riverine PHP, SPU, Dolphin PRU, CTD and Anti-Riot Force at the exhibition.
He added that all available resources should be used to enhance professional skills of police with use of modern technology. He also stressed the need for launching new projects to improve policing and monitoring.
