Domestic Dispute: One dead after cousins’ quarrel

Both men were shifted to the hospital after sustaining injuries after the firing incident

SARGODHA: One man died and another one was injured in a firing incident on Thursday. Police sources said that Muhammad Iqbal and his cousin Muhammad Khurram had an argument over a family matter two days ago. On Thursday the matter escalated and both started firing bullets at each other. Both men were shifted to the hospital after sustaining injuries where Iqbal breathed his last while Khurram remains in critical condition. Police have registered the case. Elsewhere, one man died and five women were injured in various traffic accidents in Sargodha on Thursday. Authorities said that Muhammad Azhar was travelling on his motorcycle when he was hit by a speeding truck. He died instantly, while the driver fled the scene. Meanwhile, five female teachers were injured when their van overturned on Rawalpindi Road. The women were shifted to the hospital. Police have registered the case.
