Bin Laden Killing: EU, NATO call for supporting Pakistan

Stressing need for relying on its cooperation to counter terrorism.

ISLAMABAD: The European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) on Monday called for supporting Pakistan following Osama bin Laden’s killing and stressed the need for relying on its cooperation to counter terrorism.

“Pakistan needs support, now more than ever, in its efforts to combat terrorism and bolster democracy following the killing of Osama bin Laden,” the spokesperson of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton told the media in Brussels, according to an EU statement issued here.
