A Sunni Tehreek (ST) worker was gunned down and the body of a young man was found in a sack on Monday, while one ST worker succumbed to his injuries at Civil hospital.
A 40-year-old ST worker, Shahid Qadri, and his friend, Mukhtiar Khan, were shot in Wahid Colony. The North Nazimabad police said that the men were sitting outside near Qadri’s house when armed men opened fire and fled before the police arrived.
The police said suspects may have been targeting the injured man, Mukhtiar. He got into a dispute over a plot with his uncle, Zahid, who wanted to kill him.
Separately, the body of a man, later identified as 20-year-old Nauroz, son of Murad Baloch, was found in a sack from Aziz Nagar in Orangi Town. The Pakistan Bazaar police said they found the body after residents called them and sent it to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, Mehmood, an injured ST activist, succumbed to his injuries at Civil hospital. The victim was injured in firing by law enforcers in Ranchore Lines on May 5, when he was forcing shops to shut.
