Campaign to manage cotton sticks was being expedited to kill pink bollworm

MULTAN: Cotton stakeholders discussed off-season and pre-season management of cotton crop for an enhanced production. Director pest warning and quality control of pesticides, cotton zone, Chaudhry Muhammad Farooq said that the campaign to manage cotton sticks was being expedited to kill pink bollworm. He appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate with officials in this campaign so that pink bollworm or its pupae get killed either by lack of food or by rising temperature before cotton sowing. He said that off-season cotton management showed good results last year and added that PCPA, Crop Life, APTMA, PCGA and the farming community were extending full support.
