HEC-ICCI linkage: Varsities offer research solutions to industries

Dr Ali says industry should develop partnerships with universities

Research and innovation departments of the universities can help resolve key issues of the industries, said HEC Executive Director Dr Arshad Ali during a meeting at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

Dr Ali along with a delegation of HEC and local universities visited ICCI and discussed matters for strengthening industry-academia linkages with the leaders of business community.

HEC R&D Adviser Dr Muhammad Latif, Adviser Noshaba Awais, representatives of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORICs) of various universities including Haripur University, Riphah University, Sarhad University, IIUI, Arid Agriculture University, Air University, Wah University, QAU, NUML, PIEAS, Bahria University and others were part of the delegation.

Dr Ali said industry should develop partnerships with universities in need-based research projects. He also emphasised that universities should conduct research projects to meet the needs of industry.
